My Family

The four of us at Busch Stadium for a Cardinals game

My wife, Jenifer (Langosch) Segal, grew up near Atlanta and graduated from the University of Missouri. We started dating in October 2007, but lived six hours apart until July 2015. We got married on Nov. 15, 2015. Jen and I welcomed our daughter, Audrey, on March 7, 2018, and completed our family with the birth of our son, Caleb, on Jan. 4, 2021.

Jen and I met through professional baseball. She was covering the Pittsburgh Pirates for MLB.com, and I was handling media relations for their Triple-A affiliate in Indianapolis. After more than 12 years as a baseball beat writer, including seven-plus seasons covering the St. Louis Cardinals, my wife is now MLB.com’s executive editor for the National League. A love for sports and writing are two of the many interests we share.

As Audrey and Caleb get older, it sure seems like we get busier. Whether it’s basketball, softball, soccer, gymnastics, swimming, art, music, theater, travel or anything in between (just not all at the same time!), our family calendar stays packed. Audrey and Caleb enjoy athletic events, movies, shows, games, electronics, museums, pools, parks, playgrounds, animals and much more. They also love hanging out with their friends and cousins.

Now, let me introduce you to more of our family…
