Hi, I’m Matt Segal. Welcome to my website. I really appreciate your visit.
I grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from North Central High School. I earned a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University. In addition to spending 30 years in Indiana, I have made stops in Mississippi, Kentucky and now Missouri. I wouldn’t trade my journey for anything.
I have worked in communications and marketing for 25+ years. I have a passion for writing, editing, website content, social media strategy, media relations, publications, promotional materials, digital advertising, branding, event operations, graphic design and photography.

I pride myself on being versatile and have experience in many different industries. From 1999-2015, my career was exclusively in sports. I spent time in high school athletics, college athletics and professional sports. That afforded me an opportunity to work with thousands of athletes and coaches, ranging from amateurs to millionaires.
In 2016, I began working for a government agency. That position in economic development allowed me to interact with many politicians and community leaders. From 2018-20, while working at a marketing agency, I served clients in health & wellness, senior living, public transportation, higher education, developmental disabilities, nonprofits, tourism and technology.

From 2021-25, I worked for a global mobility leader. That organization had $39 billion in annual revenue with 90,000+ employees, 9,500+ rental branches across 90+ countries and 2.4+ million vehicles. The experience with America’s seventh-largest privately-held company opened my eyes to a huge corporate operation and communication with many international colleagues.
I thrive in deadline-oriented environments, and those experiences have certainly prepared me for future challenges. I have worked nights, weekends and holidays a countless number of times over the years. I do whatever it takes to do the job well.

Effective communication and strong leadership are important in any line of work. I am confident my references would tell you I excel in both areas. I have supervised several full-time staff members during my career. I also take great pride in hiring and developing young talent.
Away from work, I love spending time with family and catching up with friends. I also enjoy a variety of sports at all levels. I attend several athletic events in St. Louis and throughout the Midwest each year. Another personal interest is traveling. I have been to 44 states and hope to finish off the list in the near future.
